Walt Disney Co. continues to shuffle the deck
In quite an unordinary move, Walt Disney Co. has decided to shuffle up the responsibilities of a couple of its top executives.
“CEO Robert Iger said Thursday that Chief Financial Officer Tom Staggs, 49, will become chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Jay Rasulo, 53, the current parks chairman, will assume the part of chief financial officer. The changes will take place at the end of the year.” (Huffington Post)
Iger said the move was good for the company. Thank you Mr. Iger, I would hope so.
Disney had a pretty big overhaul recently, after five stright quarters of declining revenue, which included the abrupt departure of former Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook in September and Miramax Films President Daniel Battsek.
