UBS hires former Merrill executive, Robert J. McCann
UBS, the Swiss investment bank, will be appointing Robert J. McCann as CEO of UBS’ Wealth Management Americas.
Robert McCann has quite a bit of banking experience. McCann spent over 25 years in various executive positions at Merrill Lynch, the last being Global Wealth Management president.
McCann is also expected to hold a seat on the bank’s group executive board.
As CEO of domestic wealth management, McCann will supervise activities within the US and Canada. He will be responsible for the management of CHF 695bn in invested assets, and leadership of 8,000 financial advisers across 320 branches.
UBS Group CEO Oswald Gruebel has welcomed McCann to the firm, and paid tribute to his outstanding reputation of leadership.
