Top exec at IBM put on leave for insider-trading scandal
Robert Moffat, a top executive at IBM Corp., has been placed on leave after being charged in an insider trading scandal. Allegedly, Moffat had been leaking secrets about IBM’s earnings and financial dealings to corporate partners.
Robert Moffat, a senior vice president, was considered to be a top candidate for the heir to the CEO throne. According to IBM, Moffat, the penny-pinching pundit, no longer serves an officer of the company. Comment is yet to come forth from anyone related or close to Moffat.
As for now, Rodney Adkins will assume Moffat’s responsibilities. Adkins was a senior vice president in charge of development and manufacturing.
