JetBlue introduces new San Francisco to Ft. Lauderdale flight
When airlines battle, the consumer wins. JetBlue, in what seems like a response to the all of the new routes and uber-cheap prices companies like Southwest and Frontier have been pumping out to the public, just announced that they will opening a new route from San Francisco to Ft. Lauderdale.
Here are the details:
The airline flies one way each day, with the westbound flight leaving at 11:30pm and arriving in Ft. Lauderdale at 7:30am. The eastbound flight leaves at 7:15pm and arrives in SF at 10:35pm.
In other words, you could be in San Fran on a Saturday afternoon, get the urge to be on the beach in Florida, and now thanks to JetBlue you can fairly easily be there and back in time for work on Monday morning.
The reason this is something worth speaking of, is because JetBlue, in my opinion, is the coolest, most passenger friendly airline in the country.
For those who have never flown on JetBlue, a ticket comes with a free live satellite TV, free drinks and snacks and of course their $40 “Even More Legroom” upgrade option. The service on the overnight flight even includes their “Shut-Eye” service, featuring earplugs, an eyeshade and a hot towel service when you wake up.
