Goodbye free Hulu

hulu-logo-755364 “It’s time to start getting paid for broadcast content online,” News Corp. Deputy Chairman Chase Carey said at a Broadcasting & Cable summit yesterday on the future of the business. “I think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content,” Carey said. “Hulu concurs with that, it needs to evolve to have a meaningful subscription model as part of its business.”
There was no definite date given, but Carey supposes it will be in 2010.

And with the plethora of sites just like Hulu that will remain free, I suppose Hulu will begin its decline in 2010.
