Brazilian president gets to the root of the economic crisis
In an absolute stroke of genius, Brazil’s president, the very wise and insightful President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, broke through all of the clutter and speculation of why the world is in an economic crisis and laid it out on the line for every economic ‘analyst’ that pretends to know what they aretalking about.
The housing market’s subprime loan crisis?
No.
Negligent management of the S.E.C. by Christopher Cox?
No.
George W. Bush?
No, no. Not even the former United States president, Mr. Dub-ya is to blame according to sensible Silva.
According to Brazil’s president, those to blame for our economic crisis:
“white people with blue eyes”
My goodness, how did I not think of that?
President Silva followed up his brilliant avowal telling the press how upset he was that his country does not have a larger say in molding world policy.
Well, I wonder why. You seem like such a rational, well spoken, individual Mr. Silva.
Here’s the exact quote:.
“This crisis was caused by the irrational behavior of white people with blue eyes, who thought they knew everything and now show they know nothing.”
He later defended his statements saying that, well, he wasn’t being racist, he just doesn’t know any black bankers.
Seriously, I’m not kidding.
When challenged about his claims, Lula said: “I only record what I see in the press. I am not acquainted with a single black banker,” according the Guardian newspaper, a British publication.
Thank you for clearing that up, Mr. Silva. It all makes sense now.
He then finished up by asking the blue-eyed members of the G20 to back a $100 billion expansion of trade finance to reverse a fall in exports.
BREAKING NEWS: Reports have emerged that upon arriving to his home he called his wife fat. He then asked her to make him some coffee.
