5 cheap ways to make her Valentine’s Day special

Let’s face, most Americans are pretty broke right now. Spending $60 bucks on 12 flowers just doesn’t seem clever from your pocket books perspective. Well, never fear you still have other options. Gentlemen, read this list now, keep your significant-other happy, and thank me later.

Cheap Valentine idea #1. Write a love letter or poem – If you have absolutely no paper or pens in your home then this present will cost you, max, 5 bucks. I know it is hard to write your intimate feelings down, especially if you don’t do it very often, but the great thing about his gift, is it is truly the thought that counts. You do not have to be a great writer, just describe how happy he or she makes you. As long as you put some effort into crafting a message that expresses your adoration for your mate, whatever you do will be appreciated.

Cheap Valentine idea #2. Take a walk or hike together – Absolutely free. When you walk together you see the world differently than from your TV or your car. They will find this absolutely romantic as walking makes the world and your lover seem more real and tangible.

Cheap Valentine idea #3. Cook a favorite meal at home – I’m doing it this year. Why go to an expensive restaurant. Instead save a little cash, just dress up, cook what you want, how you want it, and skip the crowds, lines and bad service. You can light candles on the dinner table, dim the lights, and put on some mood music.

Cheap Valentine idea #4. Creatively use free flower petals – Usually florists throw away the outside petals of flowers to make the flowers they sell look perfect. Each day if you just go by a florist they will probably have a lot of free flower petals for people to take. You can take these petals and do many things with them. For example, you can decorate the dinner table, bed, or float the petals in a bath. Trust me if you do this, MAJOR POINTS. She won’t expect it at all.

Cheap Valentine idea #5. Do something that your partner likes to do but you do not necessarily appreciate – No matter how compatible a couple is, two people will have different interests. For example, if she loves poetry and you don’t, well, put your interests aside, suck it up, go rent a poetry book from he library and spend an our or two reading poetry to her. (Honestly, even if she has never admitted to being a big poetry lover, she will be on Valentine’s Day, so long as it is romantic in nature, and you will blow her away with this move.)

Follow these steps and you will make her year, guaranteed. Plus your pocketbook will be equally as happy.
