Toyota tops the list for most recalls in 2009
The Detroit Free Press reports that automakers had a mind-blowing 15.2 million vehicles recalled this year, nearly twice that of last year. AIG exec quits over government enforced pay restriction
An AIG executive has reportedly quit due to the government’s limit on executive pay. AIG said yesterday that Anastasia Kelly, vice chairman and general counsel, is resigning effective immediately.

Unexpected drop in unemployment
Unemployment numbers dropped again unexpectedly last week. According to the labor department, claims fell 22,000 to 432,000, a record low since last July.
