Online retailer, eBay, slammed in French court with a huge fine
A French court has tossed a fine of near $2.6 million toward eBay for, basically, negligence. Godfather of Spam sentenced to over four years in prison
Alan Ralsky, a man dubbed by the feds as the “Godfather of Spam” has been sentenced to 51 years in prison. His convictions included violation of the CAN-SPAM act as well as conspiracy and engagement of mail fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. Three other men were sentenced in the case as well.

Unemployment back on the rise
According to a government report released Friday, thirteen states reported unemployment rates above the national average of 10.2% in October and a growing number reported rising jobless rates. In total, jobless rates rose in 29 states. On the contrary, stunningly, unemployment rates dropped in 13 states.
