Will the Senate shoot down the economic stimulus package?
I hope so.
It is unclear how many Democratic Senators intend to vote in favor of the economic stimulus package, but at this point, frankly I hope it’s zero. Not because I want to put a cog in the rolling wheel that is Obama campaign to save the economy. Rather much the opposite. At first I [...]
Geithner: Is he to trust?
Bloomberg:
“President Barack Obama fed a swelling populist revolt against Wall Street bonuses, calling it ’shameful’ that banks doled out $18.4 billion as taxpayers bail out companies and the U.S. remains mired in a recession. The bonuses are ‘the height of irresponsibility,’ Obama said today before meeting Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Vice President Joe Biden [...]
Big bank execs lambasted, but Senator walks away unscathed

This sparks the age old “bi-partisan” debate of which method is more efficient government spending or [...]
Stimulus package gets no Republican votes

So as one Republican after another lined up to take a shot [...]
Does Obama’s Stimulus Package give money to illegal aliens?
As Republicans continue to dig through Obama’s 627-page proposed stimulus package, their growing concerns seem to further escalate. Their most recent apprehension comes at the hands of a provision that could allow illegal immigrants to receive tax rebates.
Basically, the way it was stated in the document was that people could use taxpayer identification numbers, instead [...]
